Removing subluxations (traditional chiropractic) from children to restore natural, normal health is a very rewarding experience for every chiropractor. We find traditional physical subluxations are one type of interference that can cause ill health in children. In infants, the most common area of interference occurs in the upper cervical spine. Much of this is caused by the typical birthing process, especially when forceps or vacuum extractions are employed during delivery. Clinical experience has revealed that very little force is necessary in correcting this type of interference.
Ideally, children are normal and healthy when born. The power of creation is an ever-amazing occurrence. From one cell a normal tiny human being is created. This development is not by accident or pure chance. In fact, it is controlled by a universal intelligence. Universal intelligence is always present in each of us, all the time, that’s 24 hours per day, seven days per week 365 days per year. So, what we are saying is the intelligence that made us did not die upon our birth.
Furthermore, we believe this intelligence creates, maintains, and repairs its creations. We also hold the belief that this information exists in the empty space of the human body. As Dr. Deepak Chopra states in his book Quantum Healing: Exploring the Frontiers of Mind/Body Medicine, “Subatomic particles are separated by huge gaps, making every atom more than 99.999 percent empty space.” We know that the creative information is in this empty space. If there is no interference between the creative force and the expression of this creative force, health is absolute. Now that we have discussed where this intelligence exists, let us evaluate what could cause interference with its perfection.
Working with thousands if not tens of thousands of children, we have found in the past 50 years of clinical experience with Bio Energetic Synchronization Technique (B.E.S.T.) that this interference occurs in at least three areas of the body: the physical body, the energy body and the mind/memory area of the brain and spinal cord. Physical subluxations of the spine are the most familiar to chiropractors. These vertebral subluxations are the main cause of physical interference. Many years ago we discovered that on occasion some children did not fully respond to this physical care and did not regain their health and vitality.
So, we started looking for other types and locations of interference. We learned interference could take place within the information in the empty space. Quantum biology in today’s science acknowledges that this space does contain information that creates and heals. In chiropractic, we have always called this information innate intelligence. We have said it is perfect and if one is ill there must be some interference with the expression or performance of innate intelligence.
Our clinical experience revealed that stresses of life definitely affect the health of our adult patients. Negative responses to life’s stresses cause interference with the ability of innate intelligence to work efficiently. Studies have revealed that emotions and feelings cause the body to produce chemicals. The chemicals produced vary with each emotion and intensity of feeling. The negative responses of our patients, which were harbored in negative feelings or emotions, would accumulate in the subconscious, eventually causing interference with innate control due to the chemicals they produced within the body. This over-production of chemicals forces exhaustion in some of the body’s systems, thus causing the person to become symptomatic and ultimately pathologic. In B.E.S.T. we call this phenomenon a Subconscious Emotional Memory Override (SEMO). In other words, we found this subconscious emotional memory could actually override the perfect intention of innate. The surprising realization is these conditions often exist without the normal physical vertebral subluxation.
Patients could receive a good physical adjustment one day and present with the very same subluxations the next day. We began to call these subluxations Sensory Dominant Subluxations (SDS). The cause of the SDS is rooted in the emotions or feelings of the patient. We found the only way to effectively remove an SDS was to locate the feelings of an experience associated with the subluxation and remove the negative memory of those feelings or that experience.
You may be wondering what this has to do with children. We also discovered an SDS could affect children and furthermore, how we could remove that subluxation. With continued research and clinical experience, we found and unlocked the mystery that would allow us to help those children who did not seem to have physical subluxations, but were still sick with conditions like colic or asthma.
Consider an embryo is inside the mother for about nine months. During this embryonic state of development the feelings and empty space information of the mother are also the feelings and information of the baby – they are one being at this time, sharing everything. This explains why a newborn baby cries at birth. He or she is actually lost or separated from the only energy and feelings he or she has ever known. From actual clinical experience, if a mother will just put her hand close to the newborn baby, calmness will come over the infant. This will happen because the child feels safe again within the energy field of the mother. Clinical experience has revealed a child is connected to the mother long after the cord is cut. They remain energetically connected.
