Guidelines for Healthy Eating

Here are some helpful tips that will help you choose foods that will bring you and your family vibrant health and better longevity.

  • Eat only when hungry.
  • Eat food that nature made – not food that man made.  Eat foods the way nature made them, not overcooked or processed.
  • Eat some raw foods at every meal.

Breakfast – fruit, vegetables

Mid-day – salads, fruits, vegetables, beans, sprouts, nuts

Evening – salads, vegetables, beans, sprouts

  • After eating a fruit meal, wait one hour before eating food from another food group.
  • After eating a starch meal, wait two hours before eating food from another food group.
  • After eating a protein meal, wait three hours before eating food from another food group.

Foods to Avoid

Processed foods or synthetic foods should not be included in any diet, nor should the items in the following lists be used; they should be eliminated from the diet slowly – one at a time.

  • Coffee
  • Salt
  • Fried foods
  • Processed Meats
  • Milk
  • White Sugar/Flour
  • Tea, Stimulants
  • Herb Teas
  • Margarine
  • Ham, Bacon
  • Pies, Cookies, Cakes
  • Carbonated Drinks
  • Spices
  • Hot Dogs, Salami
  • Macaroni, White Pasta
  • Kool-Aid
  • Ice Cream
  • Bologna
  • Crackers
  • Chips/French Fries
  • Alcohol
  • Mayonnaise
  • GMO
  • Donuts
  • Artificial Sweeteners

Pork – Sure it’s the “other white meat” because it’s loaded with colorings and preservatives, nitrates and salt.  This is very stimulatory and difficult for your body to digest.

Shellfish/Crustaceans – Most are bottom feeders or scavengers.  Anything that dies in the ocean and falls to the bottom becoming debris – can be consumed by the bottom feeder.  In this day and age when there are so many chemicals being dumped into our waters – pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, industrial waste run-off and petroleum products, you can see why consuming shellfish, crab and lobster may taste great – but be bad for your health.  Shrimp may be an exception because they swim and feed on plankton.

Margarine Products – Margarine is man-made and is produced by taking a good food product like liquid oil, putting it under both high temperature and pressure then bubbling hydrogen through it to make it a solid.  New studies now show that margarine can raise blood cholesterol and increase vascular and cardiac stress.  Cooking products like Crisco as well as commercially produced peanut butter also fall into this category.  They just won’t spoil – bacteria won’t even eat it!  Why would you?

Artificial Sweeteners – Nutrasweet, Equal, Aspartame, etc., are essentially neurotoxins.  This means they are toxic to the nervous system.  In 1988, 80% of complaints received by the FDA were due to artificial sweetners.  They are stimulatory, without question!  Studies are showing their link to brain tumors.

Junk Food – Classified as soft drinks, processed snacks, pizza and fast food; junk foods are all made with parts of foods and are prepared with margarine, mayonnaise and other artificial ingredients.  To utilize these “foods” internally the body has to use vitamins, minerals and enzymes because the junk food is virtually void of these things.  The body then has to get it from somewhere else in the system.  Soft drinks are very, very acidic and will make the your system very acid.  Studies show that teenage girls who drink several soft drinks per week – are especially at risk for bone fractures.

Mayonnaise – Simply put…mayonnaise is made up of mainly fat and artificial ingredients.  We are better off to get our fats from cold pressed virgin olive oil which contain three essential fatty acids.  Avocados are also a good source of fat.

Caffeine – Coffee, colas and teas are all stimulatory!  In other words, they rev up the body when it doesn’t need to be.  The more outside stimulation the less internal regulation and it will keep taking more and more of the same substance to get the same effects.  Two cups of coffee a day increase the chances of heart disease by 50%.  Cut it down and then cut it out!

Chlorine and Fluoride – These are both found in our water supply and need to be eliminated!  Chlorine oxidizes and kills bacteria in the colon – the bacteria we need.  Fluorine is quite frankly a poison.  Over time it assaults our defense system.  Even causing fluorosis – rotting of the bones.

MSG – Monosodium Glutamate – This flavor enhancer is very stimulatory to the body and is addictive.  Some people have tremendous allergic reactions to it because it is an inorganic salt that the body cannot break down.

High Fat Dairy Products – We have been fooled into believing that if we do not drink enough milk we will not get enough calcium and we will end up with osteoporosis.  Studies indicate the countries where people drink the most milk have the most osteoporosis and hip fractures.  Sure milk has calcium, but it also has a lot of protein and phosphorus which has a negative effect on calcium in the body.  Calcium should come from the vegetable world.  If you were to pasteurize and homogenize milk, then feed it to a calf – the calf likely wouldn’t live for more than six months.  The way we alter milk, it is not even good for the species it was designed for.

Alcohol Products – These have too much energy without any of the vitamins, minerals and enzymes necessary to digest.  Alcohol is one of the very few substances that can be absorbed directly into the blood stream from the stomach.  Water is the only other.  All alcohol is the product of decay.

Aluminum – Make sure you don’t cook your foods daily in man-made aluminum product cookware.  If every meal you eat is cooked in aluminum – you are going to have an aluminum accumulation.  Aluminum is also found in most over-the-counter antiperspirants and deodorants.  Studies indicate that aluminum has been linked to Alzheimer’s disease.

And lastly and by far the biggest…

GMO & Irradiated Foods – When possible, buy your fresh produce and meat from local farmers who have committed to using non-GM seeds and avoid non-organic processed foods as much as possible, as again these are virtually 100-percent guaranteed to contain GM ingredients. Genetically Modified Foods (GMO) are, from our perception, one of the most significant threats that we have against the very sustainability of the human race, so everything you can do to avoid them is a step in the right direction for humankind. If you’re consuming corn, soybean, cotton or canola oil of any type in today’s market…it’s a pretty sure bet that you’re consuming GMO’s.

Non-hybrid, heirloom, organic seeds are quickly becoming a commodity that’s a brilliant investment from every angle. Planting a garden yesterday is a MUST for you/your family’s health and survival tomorrow!
